Companion Pet Rescue (CPR Dogs)

Our Mission

CPR’s mission is rescuing & rehoming abandoned and neglected dogs.

In addition to to rescuing & rehoming dogs, we promote our own spay/neuter outreach program that allows us to assist families that need this service but can’t afford it.

Companion Pet Rescue’s name was chosen very deliberately — we focus our efforts on friendly, social, loving companion pets. We rarely assist in placing dogs with special needs or aggression — we simply are not equipped to rescue these dogs, as our dogs are heavily socialized with others (a doggy daycare environment), or in foster homes, almost all of which have children and other pets.

While we always have more dogs in need than foster homes to help, we focus on the positive and what we can accomplish, this helps us save thousands of dogs in need!

Please help us spread the word about our rescue and our spay/neuter initiative. Thank you for supporting CPR!

We can continue to spay/neuter dogs & provide much needed medical care when needed.

What Is Duck Day?

Created in 2006 by the Naugatuck Chamber, the Duck Race features the release of over 20,000 rubber ducks from the Whittemore Bridge to race down the Naugatuck River. Each duck is vying to be among the first 20 to cross the finish line to win prizes, including the first prize of $5,000 for one lucky ticket purchaser.
During the annual Duck Race & Festival, Maple and Water Streets in downtown Naugatuck are filled with food and craft vendors, live music, games, activities for children, and much more. Businesses also will exhibit their products and services to the more than 5,000 people who attend each year. Over the past 17 years, more than 375 organizations have received over $452,438 by participating in the Duck Race fundraising activities.

All entries must be submitted by Friday, May 19, 2023 by 12:00 PM to be entered to win. Chamber employees are not eligible to win. Chances in winning depends on number of entries. All entries must be over 16 years of age.
